Our Quality Policy

Arzum seeks to increase shareholder satisfaction and to offer higher quality products and services through innovation and sustainable growth.


Our Approach to Quality

At Arzum, the Quality Assurance function is part of the Human Resources Department, while the Technical Quality function is part of the Supply Chain Department. This way, we are certain that our quality strategies and applications are known throughout the company and permeate the work that we do.
At Arzum, company practices are planned to be trackable and measurable so that all business partners receive quality service. Turning quality into a lifestyle, and to get all the employees to feel and adopt our philosophy of quality are the cornerstones of our approach to quality. .

Turquality / Brand Support Program

In May 2011, Arzum joined the Turquality Brand Support Program, which is an incentive of the Turkish government. As part of this program, the company will receive a broad range of support for exports, such as marketing, sales, after-sales services and setting up offices, which will constitute solid steps towards making the company a “global brand.”


Product Quality

Expert engineers at Arzum Electrical Appliances Company’s Hong Kong and Turkey offices control, improve and change our products continuously. App products and productions are rigorously audited according to international criteria and according to Arzum’s own approach to quality. In order to improve product quality, we work with agencies such as DEKRA, SGS, TUV Rheinland and INTERTEK from time to time.
The Technical Quality Assurance Department, which seeks to improve product quality, has the following basic functions.
Auditing;
In order to makes sure that the manufacturers’ quality systems comply with Arzum’s criteria and in order to become a driving factor in improving the manufacturers’ quality systems, all suppliers are periodically audited and their quality systems are marked as A, B, C or D. A and B meet our criteria, while suppliers with a grade of C or D get put on probation and receive consulting for improving their quality systems. After the firm makes corrections, there is a follow-up audit where the supplier is expected to get A or B. If the company cannot achieve a score of A or B, the relations with that company is reviewed, and the company ceases to be an Arzum supplier. .
Supervision;
Supervision basically means inspecting the products before they leave the manufacturing plant and, to identify and correct problems before the product is shipped. This process is executed according to international standards (ISO 2859-1), and the acceptance/rejection criteria are internationally recognized
Once the products are manufactured, a sample that represents the entire shipment is selected according to FRI (Final Random Inspection) is taken and inspected to see if the products meet Arzum’s criteria. If they don’t, the shipment is halted and corrections are demanded. With this process in place, manufacturers establish their quality systems with the final product in mind, and issues that may emerge once the product is put on the market are prevented.
Testing;
All products that are to be released to the market are periodically tested according to Arzum’s criteria and international quality standards. The primary purpose of the tests is to observe the product’s performance and features prior to the release, to diagnose in a laboratory setting the issues that may emerge once the product is put on the market, and to make the necessary improvements. Another purpose is to assure sustained quality levels for products that are on the market, and continuously to improve the level of quality. Hong Kong and Turkey laboratories and, third party laboratories whenever necessary, are used for testing.
Documentation/Market Returns;
The reports and certificates that indicate that the entire product line meets national and European quality requirements, especially CE, are tracked and archived. All new directives and similar regulations that are frequently put into execution in the EU are likewise tracked and the necessary certification tests are carried out.
Furthermore, the market performance of the products is constantly monitored. Higher-than-expected product returns prompt further research; and the manufacturer is asked to improve the product. With this process in place, we aim to improve both market data and product quality.
